The UFC returns to Detroit on Saturday for UFC 218. The event, headlined by a matchup between featherweight champion Max Holloway and all-time great Jose Aldo , marks the promotion’s first trip to “The Motor City” since the infamous UFC 9 in 1996. Aldo steps in on short notice to replace injured Frankie Edgar. Holloway and Aldo met in June with Holloway, the then-interim champion, unifying the titles when he stopped then-champ Aldo via second-round TKO. In the co-headlining bout, rising heavyweight star Francis Ngannou looks to continue his meteoric climb up the rankings against veteran Alistair Overeem .
