Pettis (22-9 MMA, 9-8 UFC), the former UFC lightweight champion, sustained a broken right foot in his unanimous decision loss to Diaz (20-11 MMA, 15-9 UFC), but managed to endure the pain for the majority of the fight and make it to the final bell. A member of Pettis’ team confirmed the injury to MMA Junkie, and believed it occurred in the first or second round when one of his low kicks was checked by Diaz.
