Derek Campos thought big things would come after his second-round knockout of veteran lightweight Melvin Guillard at Bellator 149 in February. Instead, he got a matchup with unheralded Djamil Chan . Campos (16-6 MMA, 5-4 BMMA) meets Chan (12-2 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) on the Spike-televised main card of Friday’s Bellator 161 event, which airs following prelims on MMAjunkie at H-E-B Center in Cedar Park, Texas. There were some names in the 155-pound division on Campos’ mind following his brutal finish of Guillard earlier this year, but Chan certainly wasn’t one of them: “The Stallion” said he doesn’t necessarily feel like he’s in a position to haggle with Bellator matchmakers over opponents, though. He said accepting the fight was somewhat of a letdown
