UNCASVILLE, Conn. – Roy Nelson admits he was “hurt” by Sergei Kharitonov ’s illegal knees at Bellator 207 but decided to continue because he doesn’t felt like he was given any other option by referee Dan Miragliotta. Not long after his heavyweight co-headliner against Kharitonov (28-6 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) began, Nelson (23-16 MMA, 1-2 BMMA) took a series of illegal knee strikes that brought a halt to the action. After the cageside doctor consulted Nelson and the referee, the fight was allowed to go on.
