In the main event, dual champion Ryan Bader (27-5 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) makes his first title defense since winning the heavyweight grand prix against top contender Cheick Kongo ((30-10-2 MMA, 12-2 BMMA), who’s riding a career best eight-fight winning streak as he looks to become the oldest champion in promotion history at 44. Bellator 226 also marks the start of the promotion’s 16-man featherweight tournament, as four bouts are part of the main card.
