DUBLIN – Former UFC and WEC lightweight champion Benson Henderson extended his winning streak to four in a row as he handed promotional newcomer Myles Jury a debut defeat in Dublin. The lightweight bout was the Bellator 227 main event at 3Arena in Dublin. The card aired on Paramount and streamed on DAZN via tape delay, as Henderson (28-8 MMA, 5-3 BMMA) showed his in-cage smarts to maintain the upper hand over Jury (18-5 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) throughout their three-round contest to earn a shutout win on the scorecards, polling scores of 30-27 from all three judges. Henderson started looking to stamp his authority on the contest and connected cleanly with a big overhand right in the bout’s opening seconds.
