Two of Europe’s top prospects – and two current Cage Warriors champions – are staying with the promotion. Despite interest from outside promotions, featherweight champion Paddy Pimblett (12-1) and his teammate, lightweight titleholder Chris Fishgold (15-1-1), have signed contract extensions with the promotion. Officials today announced extensions. Details of the deals weren’t disclosed, but according to the announcement, the new contracts “will keep them with the promotion into 2017.” “We’ve developed the biggest names in Europe,” Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan stated. “Some of those names went to the UFC too soon, and some went at the right time. It is every fighter’s dream to get to the UFC, and the team and I are here to help not just Chris (and) Paddy, but all our athletes, achieve that dream, and it’s also our job to guide and develop their careers in the right way.
