Conor McGregor has a lot of thoughts on the lightweight division after UFC 249, and he expressed them Monday. The biggest takeaway from it all, though, is that McGregor (22-4 MMA, 10-2 UFC) is willing to return to the octagon without fans sooner rather than later, and thinks he will facing newly minted interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje (22-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC). McGregor’s tangent on Twitter hit on a number of different topics and fighters, but off the top he made his intentions to face Gaethje next quite clear, saying he would get the fight before Gaethje gets a unifier with champion Khabib Nurmagomedov (28-0 MMA, 12-0 UFC). The fans make the sport! Watching the other night I was against going in without them. But it will be my fucking pleasure to display the power I possess with zero background noise for them. Its me and Justin next as khabib is the biggest bottle fighter in the game
