Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor this past Saturday said he is working on a July return to the cage. That’s not necessarily a new piece of news – McGregor widely was thought to be targeted for a fight against Donald Cerrone at UFC 239, which takes place July 6 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. But that fight seemed to fall apart when McGregor reportedly balked at being the co-main event instead of the headliner. But in Chicago this past weekend as a guest during the city’s famed St. Patrick’s Day parade, which took place the day before the holiday on Saturday, McGregor told ABC-7 TV in Chicago that he is “in negotiations” to come back in July. “We’re currently in negotiations,” McGregor told ABC-7’s Larry Mowry on the parade site
