Most people look at MMA and think the actions in the cage –the jarring strikes, the wrenching submission holds – are the most dangerous aspects of the fight game. That’s not necessarily true these days – at least according to Andy Foster, the executive director of the California State Athletic Commission. The CSAC is intimately involved in every fight that takes place in California, from fighter licensing through the post-fight medical suspensions.
