That fight at UFC Fight Night 85 came on short notice and Brown (15-9 MMA, 0-1 UFC) attributes his condition coming into the fight for his inability to create offensive opportunities. “I fought four weeks before (the fight with Patrick) and three weeks before getting the call-up,” Brown told MMAjunkie. “I’d been on holidays for two weeks after that and just working my shift job. … I was just doing my thing, working and holiday and had actually only been back in the gym about a week. I’d trained about three days around my shifts when they called me up.
