Even by the standards of fighter retirements, though, this was a quick turnaround. The sport’s biggest star wasted little time rescinding his retirement, and White is ready to talk to the first man ever to simultaneously hold two weight-class titles about when he’s going to return to mixed martial arts action. Asked during an interview session with reporters following the UFC’s Friday press conference if he expects McGregor in the octagon this year, White answered in the affirmative, then said he plans on meeting with McGregor soon. From there, of course, the next question is which fight will make the most sense for the former lightweight and featherweight champion.
