OTTAWA, Ontario – Perennial UFC contender Donald Cerrone is optimistic he’ll be called if lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov or interim titleholder Dustin Poirier fall out of UFC 242. “I should beat these guys, man,” Cerrone said after an impressive decision win over Al Iaquinta on Saturday night at UFC on ESPN+ 9. “I feel like I’m the best in the world. I feel like that’s where I belong.” A place at the top of the division isn’t a guarantee, however, which is why Cerrone is a little wary of his future. Although he’s on a three-fight winning streak and just beat a top-ranked opponent, he knows his fortune could shift on a dime. But he’s hoping that won’t be the case
