LAS VEGAS – Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Herbert Burns secured his UFC contract with a slick first-round submission win at Dana White’s Contender Series 23. He then said he plans on creating a family dynasty after joining brother Gilbert Burns on the UFC roster. “It’s a lot of sacrifice for me, it was my whole life,” Burns said after his triangle-armbar finish of Darrick Minner at the UFC Apex. “Gilbert and I, we did a lot of sacrifice, living in Asia, so far away from my daughter, my little girl. Now I’m here in the U.S., it’s hard to go to Brazil. Everything I did was for her and we made it.
