Linton Vassell is taking his talents to the heavyweight division. After building himself up as a title challenger in the Bellator light heavyweight division, Vassell (18-7 MMA, 7-4 BMMA) has fallen on hard times against the elite, losing back-to-back fights to former champ Phil Davis and current champ Ryan Bader. Those defeats, which both came by stoppage due to strikes, were apparently enough to persuade Vassell to make a change. The Brit recently announced he will be competing at heavyweight going forward (via Twitter ): THE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAPTER HAS BEGUN @bellatormma .
