SAN JOSE, Calif. – “El Matador” Emmanuel Sanchez stopped the charge of Tywan Claxton in the opening bout of the Bellator featherweight grand prix, then said he’s ready for whomever the tournament draw throws his way as he sets his sights on the final. Sanchez (19-4 MMA, 11-3 BMMA) submitted Claxton (5-1 MMA, 5-1 BMMA) with a second-round triangle choke at Bellator 226 in San Jose, Calif. The Bellator veteran utilized his well-rounded skillset to hand the former wrestling standout his first professional defeat.
