Israel Adesanya sympathizes with former opponent Robert Whittaker , who recently opened up about being burned out. UFC middleweight champion Adesanya (19-0 MMA, 8-0 UFC) took the title from Whittaker last October when he knocked out “The Reaper” in the second round of their title fight at UFC 243 last October. Whittaker was scheduled to return at UFC 248 in March vs. Jared Cannonier, but pulled out due to undisclosed reasons. But in a recent interview, Whittaker broke his silence to reveal that he was suffering from burnout following his personal and professional schedule. Having read his middleweight rival’s comments, Adesanya said he’s happy that the Australian has taken the time off to realize the important things in life.
