One of MMA’s most game competitors has officially called it a career. Josh Burkman announced his retirement on Friday night after losing a highly competitive matchup to William Macario at LFA 66. The bout was contested in West Valley City, Utah, a suburb of Burkman’s hometown of Salt Lake City. A tough out every time he stepped into the cage, Burkman finishes with a career record of 28-18. The 39-year-old Burkman began his career in 2003, and his notable victories include Gerald Harris, Jon Fitch, and  K.J. Noons.
