Last Saturday in Abu Dhabi, we witnessed a great performance by UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and also perhaps a better moment after the fight. After defeating Dustin Poirier in the third round at UFC 242 to retain his title, Nurmagomedov proceeded to swap shirts with Poirier, offering to auction off his own to help raise money for Poirier’s Good Fight Foundation. Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, Khabib’s father, took to Instagram on Thursday to update everyone that the shirt has indeed been sold for a very high price. While he didn’t determine how much, this will be a fantastic addition to Poirier’s cause to help build water wells in Uganda. “The Diamond” already has surpassed his goal of raising $25,000 and said any more money raised will go toward Justin Wren and his team doing a few more wells.
