Manager Alex Davis said UFC welterweight Alex Oliveira is “very lucky” after being injured by a grenade in a random act of violence in Brazil. Oliveira (19-6-1 MMA, 9-4 UFC) suffered shrapnel wounds to his leg and foot on Christmas Eve after stepping in between an altercation between his cousin and several people in Tres Rios outside of Rio de Janeiro. “Cowboy” told TV Rio Sul that he had pulled into a gas station to buy fuel for his mother’s car when he saw his cousin in a confrontation with the group. One of them pointed a gun at his cousin’s face, and he went in to separate them
