UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes is off a ventilator and in the middle of a “long journey for his recovery” after a scary truck-train accident last month , his sister said in a family statement posted Tuesday on Facebook. On June 16, Hughes’ truck reportedly was struck on the passenger side when he crossed railroad tracks directly in front of the train on Beeler Trail in Montgomery County, Ill.
