On this Father’s Day, allow Sam Alvey to share this piece of striking advice that has been passed on from one generation to another. “Gustavo (Pugliese) is my boxing coach, and he has been for years now, but I always credit my power to my dad,” Alvey told MMAjunkie Radio. “Before I started fighting, I was just kind of making it up as I went because I didn’t know anything. “And my dad said, ‘All right, here’s the secret to punches: You’re going to try to hit them in the back of the head.
