After falling just short of the $1 million prize in PFL’s inaugural season, Vinny Magalhaes returned for the second season and was immediately favored in the light heavyweight field. Emiliano Sordi (18-8) gave Magalhaes (18-11) and oddsmakers rude awakening, though, because as a nearly 6-to-1 underdog, came out victorious with a second-round TKO in the headliner of PFL 2019, Week 3 on Thursday. PFL 2019, Week 3 took place at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y. The main card streamed on ESPN+ following prelims on ESPN2. Sordi was awarded five points in the standings for his victory.
