LAS VEGAS – Aalon Cruz earned his way into the UFC in the most spectacular way imaginable as he connected with a picture-perfect flying knee to finish fellow prospect Steven Nguyen on Tuesday at Dana White’s Contender Series 22. And, speaking to MMA Junkie backstage after his contract-winning performance, Cruz (8-2) relived the moment that he realized he’d earned a UFC deal before he’d even left the cage. “I feel great. I’m on cloud nine,” he said.
