Also scheduled to appear on the show was current UFC middleweight Derek Brunson , who didn’t make the cut for reasons unknown. Now the No. 10 and No. 14 fighters, respectively, in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA middleweight rankings , Brunson didn’t know his path would eventually cross with Hall’s in the octagon. But he had a pretty good idea that if they did, they would be rivals.
