Filed under: News , UFC Fresh off a submission victory and now on a solid 3-1 run, Stefan Struve said he’s ready for a step up in competition. Struve (28-8 MMA, 12-6 UFC) defeated fellow heavyweight Daniel Omielanczuk (19-6-1 MMA, 4-3 UFC) via second-round submission this past weekend at UFC 204. The victory moved Struve ever closer to a return to the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA heavyweight rankings (he’s No. 12 in the official UFC rankings), and he’s now looking up the list for a possible next opponent. “December or January makes sense for me for sure, depending on the fight the UFC wants to give me,” Struve told “ Toe-2-Toe with Brian Stann ” (via Twitter ).
