Tristar Gym in Montreal is world renowned and home to numerous notable MMA fighters. Now the brand is hoping to create a similar environment on the other side of the country with today’s opening of Tristar Vancouver. UFC lightweight Kajan Johnson , a longtime member of the Tristar Gym team in Montreal, relocated cross country to Vancouver to head the gym. Johnson (21-11-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC), who last fought at UFC Fight Night 75 in September with a unanimous decision win over Naoyuki Kotani , is co-owner of the new facility, which is located at 7840 Edmonds Street in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
