Gilbert Burns brought the second longest MMA winning streak among active UFC fighters to an end when he beat Aleksei Kunchenko at UFC on ESPN+ 14. In his return to the welterweight division after more than five years, Burns (16-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC) outworked Kunchenko (20-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) over three rounds to win a unanimous decision to end the Russian’s 20-fight winning streak. The welterweight bout was part of the UFC on ESPN+ 14 preliminary card at Antel Arena in Montevideo, Uruguay. The event streamed on ESPN+.
