The UFC made its return to New Jersey on Saturday with UFC on ESPN 5, which took place at Prudential Center in Newark. The card aired on ESPN. Colby Covington (15-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) seemingly locked up his shot at the undisputed welterweight title in the main event when outworked ex-champ Robbie Lawler (28-14 MMA, 13-8 UFC) to a unanimous decision for his seventh consecutive win. Although Covington’s performance capped off the card, there was plenty of notable action before, as well.
