For those in the know, former collegiate wrestling standout Phil Hawes has been considered a “can’t miss” prospect since he made his professional debut in early 2014. But after a disappointing loss in the qualifying round of “The Ultimate Fighter 23,” some wondered whether Hawes might struggle to live up to those lofty expectations.
