Six fights into his Bellator career, welterweight Joey Davis can’t help but reflect on how far he’s come. One of only three four-time national champions in NCAA history, the 133-0 wrestler transitioned into MMA in June 2016 and since that time has accumulated an undefeated record through five pro fights. At Bellator 229, Davis (5-0 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) will look to make it six-for-six when he takes on his most experienced opponent to date, Jeff Peterson (10-6 MMA, 0-0 BMMA). Bellator 229 takes place Friday at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, Calif. The main card airs on Paramount and streams on DAZN following prelims on MMA Junkie.
