Bellator’s marquee doubleheader weekend came to a conclusion Saturday with Bellator 208, which took place at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y., with a main card that aired on Paramount and streamed on DAZN following prelims on MMAjunkie. In the main event, former PRIDE champ Fedor Emelianenko (38-5 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) secured his spot in the Bellator heavyweight grand prix final against Ryan Bader when he earned a first-round TKO victory over Chael Sonnen (30-16-1 MMA, 2-2 BMMA) in their semifinal matchup. Emelianenko has been nothing short of outstanding in recent years, but his thrilling performance wasn’t the only point of note on the card. Bellator 208 results: Henry Corrales left hand stops Andy Main in Round 3

UNIONDALE, N.Y. – It took a little bit of time for Henry Corrales to settle into a groove, but once he did, he found a home for his left hand and stopped Andy Main by knockout in the third round to extend his winning streak to four. Bellator 208 took place at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y. The featherweight bout, which saw Corrales (16-3 MMA, 4-3 BMMA) beat Main (12-4-1 MMA, 0-1 BMMA), opened the Paramount-televised main card following prelims on MMAjunkie. Main came out in the first round pumping his jab and backing his opponent down, while Corrales moved in and out with his strike attempts. Main was the longer fighter, and he used it to his advantage.

Bellator officials today informed MMAjunkie that Henry Corrales (15-3 MMA, 3-3 BMMA) will face Andy Main (12-3-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) at the Oct. 13 event, which takes place at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y. The night’s main card airs concurrently on Paramount and DAZN following prelims on MMAjunkie. Corrales enters the contest on the strength of a three-fight winning streak that includes victories over Georgi Karakhanyan, Noad Lahat and Cody Bollinger
