Gamebred Boxing 4 took place Saturday at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisc., where six fighters took home six-figure paydays as a result of their bouts. Thursday, MMA Junkie acquired a list of the disclosed payouts from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, which oversees the state’s athletic commission and regulation of combat sports events. The amounts reflect the disclosed payouts only and do not include any off-contract bonuses, sponsor payments, or discretionary bonuses. Of the 26 fighters to compete on the card, 20 were on flat purse contracts, while the remaining six fighters were on show-win deals. Headliners Anthony Pettis and Roy Jones Jr. took home the largest purses of the bunch, as they combined for $1,350,000.

Bellator 237, Rizin FF 20 cards begin to fill out with multiple additions, including five crossover bouts

Five additional fights have been added to the upcoming Bellator and Rizin FF joint cards being held in Saitama, Japan. Bellator president Scott Coker shared the news of three crossover bouts that are headed to the Bellator 237 card at Saitama Super Arena, as well as two crossover bouts added to the Rizin FF 20 card also taking place at the same venue, two days later. On the Bellator card, UFC veterans Lorenz Larkin (21-7 MMA, 3-2 BMMA) and Keita Nakamura (35-10-2 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) will both make quick turnarounds and square off in a welterweight bout. Since dropping his first two promotional bouts with Bellator, Larkin has won his last three in a row, most recently picking up a split-decision win over Andrey Koreshkov at Bellator 229. Nakamura made good in his Rizin debut, scoring a first round finish over Marcos Yoshio de Souza at Rizin FF 19. Also headed to Bellator 237 is a women’s flyweight bout between Ilara Joanne (9-4 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) and Kana Watanabe (8-0-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA).

The shining star from the Rizin FF women’s super atomweight grand prix opening round was Rena Kubota , who picked up a first-round knockout of Andy Nguyen in the main event of today’s Rizin FF 7 event. Kubota’s (5-0) striking was on point in the tournament bout with Nguyen (5-5), which headlined the FITE TV-streamed card at Marine Messe Fukuoka in Fukuoka, Japan. She put in early body work against her opponent and capped it off with a left hook to the liver for the knockout at the 3:23 mark of Round 1. Despite less experience than his opponent at the professional level, Tony Kelley came out of the corner looking extremely comfortable for his featherweight title bout with Kevin Aguilar . By the end of the fight, both men were bloody and the crowd was on their feet, applauding a thrilling war. The bout served as the main event of Legacy FC 57 from DiamondJacks Casino in Bossier City, La. The main card aired on AXS TV.
