In the main event, Paul Daley (38-13-2 MMA, 4-0 BMMA) laid out Andy Uhrich (11-6 MMA, 1-3 BMMA) with one short right uppercut – not the left he’s known for – to set up a rematch with Josh Koscheck later this year. And earlier on the main card, Patricky Freire (15-7 MMA, 8-6 BMMA) destroyed Ryan Couture (10-4 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) and his four-fight winning streak with a massive KO. Also on the main card, which aired on Spike from Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif., Paul Bradley (23-6 MMA, 3-1 BMMA) stunned the previously undefeated Chris Honeycutt (6-1 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) with a first-round TKO in their welterweight rematch following a no-contest. And heavyweight Tony Johnson (10-2 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) survived a slow start to eventually stop Raphael Butler (9-2-1 MMA, 4-2-1 BMMA) with a third-round TKO. Check out the highlights in the video above

Filed under: Bellator , News , Videos Bellator 148 weigh-ins took place today, and like the rest of the main card, headliners Paul Daley (170.2) and Andy Uhrich (169.8) made weight without issue. Bellator 148 takes place Friday at Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif., and the main card airs on Spike following prelims on MMAjunkie. Daley, who was promoted to headliner status when his longtime rival and Fresno resident Josh Koscheck pulled out of the event with an injury, made sure to remind fans that their local hero was at fault for the change. Andy Uhrich Fighting Paul Daley in Friday’s Bellator 148 headliner would seem like potentially the most daunting moment of Andy Uhrich ’s life. Yet, it’s not even close. In April 2009, on the day of a scheduled fight in Memphis, Tenn., Uhrich and his pregnant wife got the crushing news. “Stunner” was booked to fight in the co-headliner of a Cage Assault event when earlier in the day he received some heartbreaking news from his pregnant wife, who suffered complications with the pregnancy and ultimately miscarried. Despite the news, Uhrich went forward with his bout and defeated Brian White by first-round knockout.

Josh Koscheck Josh Koscheck ’s first fight in nearly 12 years for someone other than the UFC has been put on hold. Koscheck (17-10 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) was scheduled to make his promotional debut later this month at Bellator 148 against Matt Secor (7-2 MMA, 1-1 BMMA), but an undisclosed injury has forced him out of the main event in the city he trains in and calls home. Josh Koscheck They’re not fighting each other again – at least not yet – but rivals Josh Koscheck and Paul Daley have their opponents for January’s Bellator 148 event. Bellator officials today announced Koscheck (17-10 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) meets fellow welterweight Matt Secor (7-2 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) in the headliner, and Daley (37-13-2 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) takes on fellow 170-pounder Andy Uhrich (11-5 MMA, 1-2 BMMA) in the co-headliner. MMAMad.com first reported the Koscheck-Secor pairing. Bellator 148 takes place Jan. 29 at Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif.

Titan FC 33 results: Kurt Holobaugh beats Desmond Green, wins featherweight title

Kurt Holobaugh Desmond Green had to cut off his dreadlocks to make weight and defend his Titan FC featherweight championship against Strikeforce and UFC veteran Kurt Holobaugh at Titan FC 33. Holobaugh had no intention of allowing the weight cut to be the most difficult part of Green’s weekend. The majority of the fight was contested on the feet, with Holobaugh (14-2) doing slightly more in the striking game while Green (14-4) would score with a takedown at some point in most rounds, but never being able to do significant work or truly control the fight. Holobaugh controlled the center of the cage when the two men were striking, forcing Green to retreat for much of the fight while Holobaugh picked his spots to throw strikes. Green’s trainer, Firas Zahabi, spent much of the bout imploring Green to utilize his wrestling, but Green was content to strike, rarely showing a commitment to try to get the fight to the ground over the 25 minutes of ring time, and that decision to stay on the feet and get out-struck cost him dearly
