The World Series of Fighting takes the show on the road to Ontario, Calif., on Saturday for WSOF 4: Spong vs. DeAnda , which takes place at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Tyrone Spong vs. Angel DeAnda headlines the card with a supporting cast that includes company president Ray Sefo fighting Dave Huckaba. Then, the main card airs live on Saturday at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT on NBC Sports Network, but the World Series of Fighting 4 preliminary bouts stream LIVE worldwide on MMAWeekly.com on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m

WSOF 4′s Angel DeAnda says he can knock out or submit Tyrone Spong in main event

Angel DeAnda says he’s no setup for Tyrone Spong at World Series of Fighting 4. “This fight is going to be way different than the last guy, and (Spong is) going to know that in 10 seconds,” DeAnda told MMAjunkie.com Radio (www.mmajunkie.com/radio). “That last guy was just a duck, man.” WSOF 4 takes place Saturday at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif. WSOF 4′s Tyrone Spong finds transition between MMA, kickboxing ‘nothing special’

Just because they’re both combat sports doesn’t mean it should be easy for a kickboxer to give MMA a shot — and have relative ease picking the new sport up. But that’s pretty much how it worked for Tyrone Spong (1-0), who next month fights for just the second time in his pro MMA career – and carries the card for World Series of Fighting 4 as the main event against Angel DeAnda (11-2). Spong’s MMA debut in November at WSOF 1 was so impressive when he knocked out Travis Bartlett in the first round that he went straight to the top of the heap for the Las Vegas-based promotion. “I feel very special that they put me as the main event, and I think it’s also due to the fans,” Spong told MMAjunkie.com Radio (www.mmajunkie.com/radio). “That card (in November), I wasn’t going to be on the main card – I was going to be on the undercard. But by the demand of the fans, I ended up on the main card. Now I’m in the main event

Legacy FC 21 Results: Leonard Garcia and Holly Holm Knockouts Highlight the Night

Matt Hobar and William “Bubba” Bush became new champions at Friday night’s Legacy FC 21 at the Arena Theater in Houston, but it was UFC veteran Leonard Garcia and world champion boxer Holly Holm that stole much of the night’s thunder. Hobar dominated his fight with Angel Huerta in the night’s main event, taking the fight to him. It didn’t take Hobar long to put Huerta on the mat and transition to his back, securing a fight-ending and title-winning rear naked choke. The victory put the Legacy bantamweight belt firmly around Hobar’s waist. Bush gave Larry Crowe little chance of becoming the promotion’s middleweight champion, putting him on the mat a couple of times in the first round.
