In her first fight since making a full-time move from pro boxing to MMA, Holly Holm scored a dramatic knockout at Friday’s Legacy FC 21 event. Facing Allanna Jones (2-3) in a 140-pound catchweight contest, Holm (4-0) initially found a game opponent before finding an opening in the second round. Legacy FC 21 Results: Leonard Garcia and Holly Holm Knockouts Highlight the Night

Matt Hobar and William “Bubba” Bush became new champions at Friday night’s Legacy FC 21 at the Arena Theater in Houston, but it was UFC veteran Leonard Garcia and world champion boxer Holly Holm that stole much of the night’s thunder. Hobar dominated his fight with Angel Huerta in the night’s main event, taking the fight to him. It didn’t take Hobar long to put Huerta on the mat and transition to his back, securing a fight-ending and title-winning rear naked choke. The victory put the Legacy bantamweight belt firmly around Hobar’s waist. Bush gave Larry Crowe little chance of becoming the promotion’s middleweight champion, putting him on the mat a couple of times in the first round.

Ex-boxing champ Holly Holm meets Allanna Jones at Legacy FC 21

With her boxing retirement official and an MMA contract inked, Holly Holm (3-0) will meet Allanna Jones (2-2) next month at Legacy FC 21. Legacy FC promoter Mick Maynard today confirmed the plans with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). Legacy FC 21 takes place July 19 at Arena Theater in Houston. The main card, including Holm vs. Jones, airs on AXS TV.
