How’s this for an LFA debut? Marcos Breno wasted no time in making quite the first impression Friday night, knocking out Ary Farias with one punch. In a fight between jiu-jitsu specialists, both Breno and Farias came out firing in the first round of their bantamweight bout at Upper Arena in Rio de Janeiro. It was Breno (14-2) who landed a huge overhand right as Farias (10-2) closed the distance with a left hook. The lights instantly went out on Farias, who hunched over and collapsed to the canvas. Farias (10-2) picked up a TKO win over Campbell (20-13) on Friday night at Taura MMA 10 in Rio de Janeiro when Campbell’s ear became partially detached in an outright horror show eight days before Halloween. LFA will visit the state of Georgia for the first time this summer, and the welterweight title will be up for grabs. Jason Jackson (9-3), from Jamaica, is set to take on Brazil’s Junior Marques (9-1) for the vacant belt at LFA 71, the promotion recently announced.
