Zebaztian Kadestam defends welterweight title vs. Georgiy Kichigin at ONE Championship 91 in Myanmar

ONE Championship will head to Myanmar in March, and the welterweight title will be on the line. Zebaztian Kadestam (11-4), the promotion’s new 170-pound champion, will defend his belt for the first time when he takes on Georgiy Kichigin (20-5) in the main event at “ONE Championship 91: Reign of Valor.” The promotion announced the new event and booking today. ONE Championship 91 takes place March 8 at Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar. The event will stream on ONE’s online app, as well as Facebook. The 28-year-old Kadestam, from Sweden, won the vacant welterweight title with a fifth-round knockout of previously unbeaten American fighter Tyler McGuire this past November. That win brought his ONE record to 3-1 with his lone loss in the promotion coming at the hands of former champion Ben Askren in a title fight in September 2017.

ONE Championship 67 highlights: Xiong Jing Nan claims title to close KO-filled card

ONE Championship 67 saw the crowning on a new champion. In Saturday’s “One Championship 67: Kings of Courage” headliner, which streamed as an online pay-per-view from Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia, Xiong Jing Nan (11-1) claimed the inaugural women’s strawweight championship with a solid performance over Tiffany Teo (7-1). The 30-year-old Chinese fighter picked up her third straight knockout win after battering and ultimately dropping Teo in the fourth round. Check out the highlights above. In the co-headliner, Stefer Rahardian (7-0) remained undefeated with a decision victory over fellow flyweight Muhammad Imran (5-2).

The Asia-based ONE Championship promotion has struck a streaming deal with Twitter. Officials today announced the collaboration, which kicks off with Saturday’s “ONE Championship 67: Kings of Courage” event. ONE Championship 67 takes place at Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia, and most of the main card streams as an online pay-per-view in North America. Today at “ONE Championship 53: Warrior Kingdom,” Angela Lee showed that she is far more than a creative and dynamic grappler – even if her fight once again ended on the ground. Lee (7-0) defended her ONE Championship women’s atomweight title for the first time with a blowout third-round TKO victory over a game but utterly outmatched Jenny Huang (5-1) in the headlining bout at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. The online-streamed pay-per-view main event was nothing if not a showcase for the 20-year-old sensation Lee. After winning the organization’s inaugural 105-pound title in a “ Fight of the Year ” candidate in May 2016, Lee’s first title defense wasn’t one that fell into the category of competitive fights. Although Lee’s grappling has been her main point of attack throughout the early stages of her career, her striking was on display against Huang.
