The lineup for ONE Championship’s first U.S. event continues to grow with the addition of a rebooked middleweight fight. Aung La N Sang (29-13) is set to take on Fan Rong (19-3) this spring at ONE Championship Fight Night 10. The booking was confirmed by a person with knowledge of the matchup.

Former two-division champion Aung La N Sang gave the raucous crowd at ONE Fight Night 6 exactly what they wanted to see. Myanmar’s N Sang (29-13) needed 89 seconds to get the job done against Gilberto Galvao, much to the delight of the crowd, which showered “The Burmese Python” with the loudest cheers of the evening. The event took place at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, and aired on Amazon Prime Video. It didn’t take much for N Sang to get the close the show. Galvao (30-8-1) was aggressive early as he swung wide hooks, but N Sang connected with a sneaky uppercut that sent him to the canvas. N Sang allowed Galvao to return to his feet, and a moment later the fight moved to a clinch against the fence

Frustrated from getting heavily out-grappled in his two straight losses to Reinier de Ridder, former dual-champion N Sang (26-12-1) hopes he gets to bang it out with Leandro Ataides (11-4) when they square off in the co-main event of ONE Championship: Battleground, which takes place July 30 at Singapore Indoor Stadium. “This is one of the ones that it’s not gonna go to a decision,” N Sang told MMA Junkie Radio.

Undefeated Dutchman Reinier de Ridder is now a two-division champion, adding ONE’s light heavyweight belt to the middleweight title he already owns with a decision win in the main event of ONE on TNT IV, which aired Wednesday in the U.S. And de Ridder (14-0) earned both belts by taking them away from Aung La N Sang (26-12) – the latest in a one-sided decision win at Singapore Indoor Stadium. At the opening bell, de Ridder moved immediately forward and was able to drag the action to the canvas, scrambling through a seres of attempted escapes before setting up on top of N Sang’s half-guard. After advancing to mount shortly after, de Ridder was able to take the back when his opponent rolled. The body triangle came in immediately after, and de Ridder went to work on a potential choke. To his credit, N Sang defended his neck well despite being in a bad position

On Friday, it was revealed that Vitaly Bigdash is out of Wednesday’s ONE on TNT IV headliner. In his place, middleweight champion Reinier de Ridder will challenge N Sang for his light heavyweight title. A person with knowledge of the situation confirmed the news to MMA Junkie following an initial report from ESPN’s Ariel Helwani . According to Helwani, the reason for Bigdash’s withdrawal was a failed COVID-19 test in his native Russia

Aung La N Sang wants to close out his story with Vitaly Bigdash in emphatic fashion. N Sang (26-11) defends his ONE Championship light heavyweight title against Bigdash (10-2) at ONE on TNT IV on April 28 at Singapore Indoor Stadium, where he will look to leave no doubt who is the better fighter. The pair will enter their trilogy bout tied at one win each. Bigdash successfully defended his middleweight title against N Sang with a unanimous decision win in January 2017, but N Sang was able to exact his revenge just five months later by capturing the title from Bigdash, also by unanimous decision.
