UFC and Bellator Veteran Paul Daley Signs One-Year, Three-Fight Deal with BAMMA

British welterweight Paul “Semtex” Daley has signed a one-year, three-fight deal with BAMMA. Daley (33-12-2) announced the news on Tuesday via his Facebook page. “Yes, I have signed to BAMMA. Exclusive to the UK, still expect to see me fighting around the world with other organizations, such as in November in Russia with LEGEND,” Daley wrote. Daley was recently released from Bellator MMA on July 25 due to legal troubles stemming from a bar fight in his native England and visa issues that prevented him from traveling to the U.S. The new deal marks Daley’s return to BAMMA. The 30-year-old has previously fought twice for the British-based organization, missing weight both times. “Semtex” feels the conditions of the contract are perfect for his current situation.

After a very brief free agency, Paul Daley is back with BAMMA. Daley recently signed a three-fight, 12-month deal with the promotion that’s exclusive to the U.K., his manager Wad Alameddine told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). MMAFighting.com first reported the deal. It’s unclear when Daley (33-12-2) will debut for the promotion, which holds its next event, BAMMA 13, on Sept. 14 in Birmingham, England. The hard-slugging welterweight is next scheduled to fight in November for Russian promotion LEGEND. “Right now my focus is on my next fight in November, but expect me to fight for BAMMA this year at a U.K.

Cage Warriors inks seven fighters to multi-fight deals

Cage Warriors’ exclusive roster of talent has grown following the recent signing of seven fighters to multi-fight deals. The organization, which streams its events on MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com), today announced 18-month, five-fight deals for Steven Ray , Shaj Haque , Mick Sinclair , Carl Noon , Lawrence Fitzpatrick , Bryan Creighton and John Redmond . Officials haven’t announced bookings for any of the competitors. Ray (12-4) made his lone Cage Warriors’ appearance in early 2012 and suffered a submission loss to Assan Njie . The Scottish lightweight then won three consecutive fights before a March loss to Curt Warburton at BAMMA 12. Haque (3-0) an undefeated flyweight, has fought twice for the organization. The English fighter picked up decision wins over Oliver Battell and Kris Edwards . Sinclair (12-3), an English lightweight, has fought three times for the organization and knocked out Josh Dennis at Cage Warriors 37 in 2010.
