This past Friday’s Bellator 115 event turned out to be a logistical nightmare, and in the latest episode of “Bellator Uncut,” company chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney takes you behind the scenes. The event took place April 4 and aired on Spike TV from Reno Events Center in Nevada. After a series of weigh-in issues , officials scrambled to salvage the fight card.

Bellator 115 medical suspensions: Champ Vitaly Minakov could be out six months

Bellator MMA heavyweight champion Vitaly Minakov could be on the shelf for a while after his most recent title defense. Minakov defended his belt with a unanimous decision win over Cheick Kongo this past Friday at Bellator 115. But the fighter could be out as long as six months without clearance from a doctor. Minakov was given a 180-day medical suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission following his main-event victory. But that lengthy term would be shortened to 45 days if a doctor clears his left shoulder. The champ was one of eight fighters on the card – half the bill – to receive medical suspensions from the NSAC

Bellator MMA heavyweight title challenger Cheick Kongo and champion Vitaly Minakov were the top earners at this past Friday’s Bellator 115 event. MMAjunkie obtained the list of disclosed paydays from the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which oversaw Friday’s event at Reno Events Center. The main card aired on Spike TV following prelims on Spike.com. The total disclosed payroll for the event was $154,000

Earlier on in the card, Mikkel Parlo (12-2 MMA, 4-2 BMMA) used takedowns to top Johnny Cisneros (8-3 MMA, 0-1 BMMA), Kelly Anundson (7-2 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) submitted Volkon Oezdemir (10-1 MMA, 1-1 BMMA), and Justin Baesman (14-4-1 MMA, 0-1-1 BMMA) and Herman Terrado (11-3-1 MMA, 0-1-1) fought to a majority draw.

With MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko retired, the door is open for the next best fighter from Russia. Unbeaten Bellator MMA heavyweight champion Vitaly Minakov very well may be a candidate for that title. But he’s not ready to talk about that just yet. Minakov (13-0 MMA, 4-0 BMMA) tonight defends his title against Cheick Kongo (20-8-2 MMA, 2-0 BMMA) at Bellator 115, which takes place at Reno Events Center in Nevada with a main card on Spike TV at 9 p.m. ET following prelims on Spike.com at 7 p.m. ET.

Andrey Koreshkov off Bellator 115 with flu, Kimball-Cramer scrapped

In a major shakeup just prior to Thursday’s officials weigh-ins for Bellator 115, both tournament semifinal fights on the main card have been scrapped. The welterweight tournament semifinal bout between Andrey Koreshkov (15-1 MMA, 7-1 BMMA) and Sam Oropeza (11-2 MMA, 3-1 BMMA) has been removed from the card due to Koreshkov suffering from the flu. And J eremy Kimball (10-4 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) was off weight enough prior to the official weigh-in event that his middleweight tourney semifinal fight with Dan Cramer (10-4 MMA, 7-2 BMMA) was cut from the event, as well. Bellator officials announced the news Thursday night and said Koreshkov and Oropeza will be rescheduled to another event
