At the bottom of the post, let us know if we got it right by voting on your choice for “Fight of the Month.” * * * * * THE NOMINEES Joe Warren vs. Rafael Silva at Bellator 118 Down on the scorecards to Rafael Silva after two rounds, Joe Warren rallied back to take the final three frames from the Brazilian at Bellator 118 and in the process, won the Bellator interim bantamweight championship. It was a competitive fight throughout, but ultimately Warren’s superior wrestling earned him the victory.

Joe Pingitore at Bellator 118 Highly touted featherweight prospect Darrion Caldwell displayed brilliant scrambling ability before submitting Joe Pingitore with a rear-naked choke at Bellator 118. Caldwell is a former NCAA national champion in wrestling and he showed off some of that world-class grappling by stringing several techniques together before taking the back and finishing the fight. Paddy Pimblett def. Conrad Hayes at Cage Warriors 68 Flying triangle choke finishes are a rarity to see in top MMA promotions, but one took place at Cage Warriors 68 when Paddy Pimblett leaped onto Conrad Hayes’ shoulders and began locking up the submission.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Bellator MMA Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney said he’s so blown away by how the organization’s new glove design has curbed hand injuries that he’s willing to share the technology with anyone, including its chief rival, the UFC. Earlier this year, the promotion collaborated with longtime partner and equipment manufacturer Everlast to debut a new “next-generation” PowerLock MMA fight glove

Rafael Silva says he will ‘shock Bellator’ against Joe Warren in interim title fight

Rafael Silva got a little surprise on Saturday when he found out he was fighting for a Bellator title. With bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas sidelined from his title fight against Joe Warren (10-3 MMA, 8-2 BMMA), Silva (21-3 MMA, 2-0 BMMA) was called up to fight for the interim belt at Bellator 118, which takes place at Revel Atlantic City in New Jersey with a main card on Spike TV. “I was really surprised. I didn’t even imagine this would happen,” Silva told MMAjunkie. But the short notice didn’t mean anything to Silva. “We always train, whether for our own fights or to help a training partner,” Silva said.
