Filed under: Bellator , Featured , Featured Videos , News , Videos There was no shortage of highlights in Friday’s Bellator return to the East Coast, from walkoff knockouts to cuts and upsets, there was a little of everything. In the main event, Andrey Koreshkov wrested the welterweight title from champion Douglas Lima with a dominant unanimous decision. Koreshkov never really let Lima in the fight, using a takedown-heavy attack to cruise. But earlier on the card, the welterweight pecking order was set for who might be next up to face Koreshkov.

Bellator returns tonight with Bellator 140, featuring a welterweight title fight in the main event. Welterweight champion Douglas Lima meets Andrey Koreshkov in the headliner. In addition, three other welterweight bouts are featured on the main card. Bellator 140 takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., with a main card on Spike TV (9 p.m. ET) following prelims on Spike.com (7 p.m. ET).

The veteran broadcaster has penned a column for MMAjunkie discussing his transition and what MMA fans, including hardcores who are sometimes critical, can expect. * * * * I am very proud today to join two first-class organizations, Bellator MMA, and Spike TV. I mean that’s what you’re supposed to say when you start somewhere new. But I have to tell you, in my case, it’s totally true. And trust me when I tell you, there’s no way I’d be making this leap if it wasn’t. So “proud” works there.

The Bellator welterweight champ, who tonight attempts the first defense of his title, took a serious shot at veteran standout Paul Daley (35-13-2 MMA, 1-0 BMMA), whom he was scheduled to face at Bellator 134 before a knee injury forced him to withdraw. Lima claims Daley refused to fight him, leading to a matchup with Koreshkov. “I was supposed to fight Paul Daley next, but after he faced Andre Santos, he said his timing was off and he needed more experience before facing me,” Lima told MMAjunkie. “So he didn’t want to face me
