This past week at Bellator 158 in London, Michael Page (11-0 MMA, 7-0 BMMA) tagged Santos (21-18 MMA, 1-2 BMMA) with a flying knee flush to the forehead (via Twitter ): Must See MVP TV tonight on @spike 9/8c #Bellator158 #PokemonGo @MichaelPage247 https://t.co/VI5PYAgrhT — Bellator MMA (@BellatorMMA) July 16, 2016 The end result for “Cyborg,” a Brazilian vet who made his pro debut nearly 19 years ago, was a second-round knockout loss, a dented forehead and cracked skull , viral-video status (see the video above), and a GoFundMe fundraiser – set up his ex-wife and current Invicta FC featherweight champion Cristiane Justino – that he said he didn’t want or need. Sure, pictures of Evangelista Santos ’ fractured skull following his knockout at the hands of Michael Page are stomach churning, but “Cyborg” said he’s doing just fine. Santos (21-18 MMA, 1-2 BMMA) was tagged by a flying knee from Page (11-0 MMA, 7-0 BMMA) in the second round of their Spike-televised Bellator 158 bout from O2 Arena in London. “Cyborg” collapsed face down after the blow, grasping at his face while writhing in obvious pain. The result of the strike was a fractured skull and an ugly dent in his forehead. His ex-wife, Invicta FC champ and onetime UFC fighter Cristiane Justino, posted a call – and shocking photos of the injury – to social media for MMA fans to help the injured fighter

That doesn’t mean he is above being a harsh self-critic, though. Gallagher (4-0 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) picked up a win over Mike Cutting (6-6 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) on the Spike-televised main card of Saturday’s Bellator 158 from The O2 in London. It was an emotional victory, but he told reporters after the win that he didn’t perform up to his own expectations. After a crushing jumping knee from Michael Page at Bellator 158, the always tough Evangelista Santos was left on the canvas clutching his face in visible agony. After initial reports of surgery to repair a fractured skull after the bout, which took place on the Spike-televised main card from The O2 in London, Santos’ ex-wife and current women’s MMA superstar Cristiane Justino posted a clarification and update to Instagram along with a graphic picture and X-ray showing the fracture – and a dent in the skull of Santos (21-18 MMA, 1-2 BMMA). The male “Cyborg” has “not had surgery yet,” according to Justino, though the injury has doctors worried about continued swelling of the brain. Related: Bellator 158 results: Lima shuts out Daley, 'MVP' steals show with brutal finish “Fight fans, Please say a prayer for me Ex husband Cyborg Santos,” the post reads. “Many of you watched him fight on Spike TV this weekend when he suffered this injury while fighting in London. Cyborg is still in the hospital in the UK, and they are not sure when he will be able to fly again.
