When he got arrested earlier this week, Jon Jones told the officers he was going stir crazy and had to get out for a drive. And while we can’t really get behind how he went about trying to solve the stir crazy problem, we can pretty much understand it. Bellator has a potential solution for MMA fans to deal with their stir craziness in a slightly less dangerous way. Saturday, the company re-aired one of the most epic events in the promotion’s history, Bellator 225, in its entirety.

Former Bellator heavyweight champion Vitaly Minakov is looking to become a two-time world champion, and he took a solid step in that direction over the weekend. On an evening in which every fight on the card went to a finish, Minakov’s first-round finish of Timothy Johnson at Bellator 225 stood out. MMA touched down in the Connecticut city of Bridgeport for the first time this past Saturday, and the fans at Webster Bank Arena seemed to get their money’s worth. Bellator is in Connecticut regularly, but until Saturday had always been at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville – on tribal grounds. But after full MMA sanctioning was passed in the state earlier this year, cities like Bridgeport and the capital of Hartford suddenly are in the mix. (Bridgeport is just 60 miles northeast of New York City.) But Saturday’s event turned out to be more historic than just because of the city it was in. Every one of Bellator 225’s 14 bouts ended in a finish – nothing went the distance.

Disonell (4-3 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) claimed an attention-grabbing first-round TKO victory and told reporters, including MMA Junkie, backstage that he was determined to spoil the party by claiming the upset win over Kimbel (3-2 MMA, 3-2 BMMA). “I had to believe in myself all camp,” he said
