Since the early days when the sport was anything but a mainstream endeavor, the MMA industry has thrived and survived through various websites, forums and, perhaps most importantly, social-media platforms. Fighters interact with fans, each other and many more through the likes of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, which helps outsiders get a deeper look into the minds of the athletes. Following Saturday’s Bellator 269 event in Moscow, several of the winning and losing fighters, along with their coaches, training partners or family members, took to social media to react to the event or share a message with supporters. Berkhamov (15-1 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) returned to action for the first time since August 2019 when he submitted Jaleel Willis in the first round Saturday at Bellator 268 at Footprint Center in Phoenix. PHOENIX – Lance Gibson Jr. thinks he’s done enough to earn a spot in the rankings. Gibson (5-0 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) remained unbeaten when he scored a second-round TKO of Raymond Pina on Saturday at Bellator 268 at Footprint Center in Phoenix. The 26-year-old has finished four of his five pro wins and hopes to have a number next to his name once Bellator updates its lightweight standings. “I’d like to be ranked,” Gibson said.

Corrales (19-6 MMA, 7-6 BMMA), who moved back up to 145 pounds after a failed one-fight stint at bantamweight, picked up a unanimous decision win over Vladyslav Parubchenko on Saturday at Bellator 268 at Footprint Center in Phoenix. Although the former King of the Cage dual-champ didn’t experience any ill effects when he made his 135-pound debut against Johnny Campbell at Bellator 258, the fight didn’t go his way when he was submitted in the second round. “I lied – I never made bantamweight,” Corrales said. “I was like, ‘Yeah, I’ve made bantamweight before. Jan Blachowicz, Corey Anderson feud on Twitter over world’s best status

Jan Blachowicz is not happy with with some of the recent comments made by a former foe. The UFC light heavyweight champion fired back at Corey Anderson for saying he’s the best fighter at 205 pounds today following his TKO win over Ryan Bader at Saturday’s Bellator 268. And to add to his claim, Anderson said his most recent defeat, which came against Blachowicz (28-8 MMA, 11-5 UFC), was just a “hiccup.” Blachowicz was on Twitter on Monday to voice his discontent with Anderson. “ Hold up… So a guy who bolted from the UFC after I’ve slept him and almost made him retire, got a couple of wins in the 2nd league and claims he is the best?” Blachowicz wrote on Twitter. “Maybe I’ve punched him to hard… No class in win or defeat Corey. On Monday, Bader (28-7 MMA, 6-2 BMMA) released a brief statement on his Instagram page , the first since his 51-second TKO loss to Corey Anderson at Bellator 268 on Saturday. The event took place at Footprint Center in Phoenix in Bader’s home state of Arizona. “The game we play,” Bader wrote. “Not the result we wanted but felt the love in AZ!
