We’re down to a four-man field in Bellator’s latest grand prix. After Bellator 282 a week ago, the semifinals are set in the ongoing bantamweight tournament, and that field includes the interim champion. Danny Sabatello has stormed onto the scene thanks to his brash, trash-talking persona. But he’s been backing it up in the cage and now is set to fight interim titleholder Raufeon Stots for a trip to the final – with the belt on the line, as well – later this year. And on the other side of the bracket, Bellator 282 winner Magomed Magomedov is matched up against sometimes-training partner Patchy Mix . Of the four, who will be left standing at the end of the tournament?

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – After another dominant win under the Bellator banner, Lucas Brennan is in no rush to fast-track his way up the featherweight rankings. Brennan (7-0 MMA, 7-0 BMMA) made easy work of Johnny Soto (4-3 MMA, 1-2 BMMA) at Bellator 282 on Friday with a first-round rear-naked choke. It was his third straight first-round submission win and fifth first-round submission finish overall in seven fights.

The Bellator event schedule resumed Friday with Bellator 282 , which took place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., and saw a new champion crowned in the main event. Johnny Eblen (12-0 MMA, 8-0 BMMA) captured the middleweight title with a dominant sweep over Gegard Mousasi (49-8-2 MMA, 7-2 BMMA) by unanimous decision, becoming the eighth 185-pound champion in company history.
