The middleweight title will be on the line next month when LFA returns to Minnesota for an historic event. LFA 50 features a vacant 185-pound championship bout in the main event with Brendan Allen (9-3) vs. Tim Hiley (7-0) fighting for the strap, promotion officials announced.

With two key lightweight bouts atop the card, the Brazilians reigned supreme over their American counterparts at Friday’s LFA 41 event. LFA 41 aired on AXS TV from Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minn. In both the headliner and co-headliner, 155-pound title hopefuls clashed with the expectation that a title shot would follow any impressive wins. And impressive wins they were. In the co-headliner, Brazilian Killys Mota (11-0) – an undefeated 27-year-old who’s been called a “mini-Wanderlei Silva” – posted a one-sided beatdown of notoriously tough vet Bobby Lee (8-2)

Once Derrick Krantz had Ben Neumann in trouble in Friday’s LFA 12 headliner, he didn’t stop until he was declared the inaugural LFA welterweight champion. Krantz (20-9) capped off the AXS TV-televised broadcast from Mystic Lake Showroom in Prior Lake, Minn., with a brutal ground-and-pound assault on Neumann (12-5) to claim the 170-pound belt by TKO at the 0:55 mark of Round 2.

LFA 11 and 12 announced; inaugural welterweight title fight happening

LFA announced today date, locations and main events for LFA 11 and 12, with an inaugural welterweight title fight headlining the latter. LFA 11 will take place May 5 at Comerica Theatre in Phoenix Ariz., with a scheduled main event of Matthew Frincu vs. Daniel Madrid for the AXS TV-televised card. Frincu (10-2) will enter LFA 11 riding a three-fight win streak, most recently earning a unanimous decision over Kris Holcum l ast month at LFA 5 . Madrid (13-4), meanwhile, will enter on a six-fight win streak when he makes his LFA debut. LFA 12 is slated for May 19 at Mystic Lake Showroom in Prior Lake, Minn., where history will be made.

In the main event, Lazar Stojadinovic (12-5) earned his eighth consecutive victory after scoring a dominant unanimous-decision win over longtime Bellator fighter Mike Richman (18-7). In the co-headliner, former flyweight standout Chico Camus (17-7) looked good at bantamweight as he cruised to a win over Darrick Minner (15-6). Earlier in the night, though, the card featured a number of finishes.

Featherweight prospect Lazar Stojadinovic (12-5) earned his eighth consecutive victory, picking up a clearcut decision win over 12-time Bellator veteran Mike Richman (18-7). The contest served as the main event of Friday’s LFA 2 event, which aired on AXS TV from Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minn. Stojadinovic flashed quick hands early, moving laterally on the outside and rattling off combinations.
