WSOF 25 adds Burley vs. Condon, Madrid vs. Mustapayev as tournament reserve fights

Benny Madrid Next month’s one-night, eight-man lightweight tournament at WSOF 25, which will decide the next title challenger for champ Justin Gaethje’s title, has some insurance policies in place in the form of two reserve fights. In the quarterfinal round, if a winner is unable to advance to the semifinals due to injury, his opponent – who would have just lost the fight – will move on his place, WSOF officials announced today. However, if neither the winner nor loser can move on to the semis, a semifinalist will come in the form of the winner of one of the reserver bouts. Those reserve matchups will be between LaRue Burley (6-1) and Joe Condon (12-8), and Benny Madrid (8-3) vs. Ramil Mustapayev (3-1). WSOF 25 takes place Nov.

Lineup complete for September’s WSOF 23 card in Phoenix, including three UFC vets

Clifford Starks The lineup for next month’s WSOF 23 card in Arizona has been finalized with the addition of seven preliminary-card fights. Included in the mix are UFC veterans Isaac Vallie-Flagg , Estevan Payan and Clifford Starks . WSOF officials recently announced the fights for the show in Phoenix. WSOF 23 takes place Sept. 18 at Comerica Theatre in Phoenix.

Justin Gaethje The lineup for “WSOF 19: Gaethje vs. Palomino” has been finalized with several additional undercard fights booked for the event. WSOF 19 takes place March 28 at Comerica Theatre in Phoenix. The four-fight main card will air live on NBCSN at 9 p.m. ET with eight fights scheduled for the prelims, which begin at 6 p.m. ET and stream on MMAjunkie

The full fight card is set for next month’s Bellator 126 event with the addition of seven preliminary-card fights. Bellator 126 features a middleweight title fight in the main event between reigning champion Alexander Shlemenko (50-8 MMA, 11-2 BMMA) and challenger Brandon Halsey (7-0 MMA, 5-0 BMMA). The prelims feature a heavyweight bout between Ryan Martinez (10-4 MMA, 3-3 BMMA) and Nick Rossborough (24-18-1 MMA, 0-0-1 BMMA), as well as lightweight bouts pitting Brandon Girtz (10-4 MMA, 3-2 BMMA) vs. Benny Madrid (7-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) and Derek Campos (14-4 MMA, 3-2 BMMA) vs. Estevan Payan (14-6 MMA, 0-0 BMMA). World Series of Fighting signs Brian Foster, Benny Madrid, Bryson Hansen

World Series of Fighting has bolstered its roster with the signing of three new fighters. Welterweight Brian Foster (19-6), lightweight Benny Madrid (7-1) and bantamweight Bryson Hansen (6-1) all have inked deals with the Las Vegas-based promotion, sources close to the organization on Friday told MMAjunkie. All three are expected to debut with WSOF in 2014. Foster is a five-fight UFC veteran who went 3-2 with the promotion.
