Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship returned on Friday evening for BKFC 22 which featured two championship bouts. Two titles were on the line as Hector Lombard looked to defend his cruiserweight title for the first time against Lorenzo Hunt and Luis Palomino defended his lightweight title against Dat Nguyen . The bareknuckle event filled with MMA veterans took place at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Fla., and aired on BKFC TV and FITE TV. Lombard (3-1 BKFC) and Hunt (6-1 BKFC) finally settled the score after their heated rivalry began with a brawl after BKFC 18

Just before two titles were defended at BKFC 22, flyweights Britain Hart and Pearl Gonzalez threw down in an exciting battle. Hart (4-2 BKFC) sought to keep her winning ways alive against Gonzalez, who was entering her second bareknuckle fight. After an exciting five rounds of action, the judges would ultimately see the bout in Hart’s favor with scores of 48-47, 48-47, and 49-46. BKFC 22, a bareknuckle event filled with MMA veterans, took place at the James L.

Tensions are still high between bareknuckle fighters Hector Lombard and Lorenzo Hunt . On Wednesday at the BKFC 22 pre-fight press conference, things quickly got out of hand when Lombard (3-0 BKFC) was asked to reflect upon the moment when Hunt (5-1 BKFC) entered the ring after his championship victory over Joe Riggs at BKFC 18, which sparked an all-out post-fight brawl . “I don’t think there’s anyone in this arena right now that would allow that to happen,” Lombard stated at the press conference. “If you, in the biggest moment of your life, you win the world title, and you see a clown jumps over the fence and attacks you, what are you gonna do? Pretty sure you’re gonna do the same thing.” Just as Lombard completed his sentence, things went wild as Hunt began yelling at Lombard from across the room.
